Watching Zeta Gundam as part of my old-school spree. THEY USE FLOPPY DISKS IN THE FUTURE. I cannot get over that. Or beer and coffee vending machines, but that's just Japan in general. XD It's amazing so far despite the overwhelming 1985-ness. Fourteen episodes in. I should not already have an Emma muse fourteen episodes in. *headwalls*

Last night at anime club, we were watching D.Gray-man (yes, still; we're almost at the end, and I'm sure I've mentioned how hard it is to get them to go through a 13- or 26-episode series half the time, so I have no idea how we've been watching this long) and I brought up...

Me: You know what, how injured are these people? They all should have dropped dead, like, fourteen episodes ago. (It had been about that long since they were last in the hospital or had any sort of timeskip.)
Someone else: Well, who else is going to do it? Everyone else there is worse off than they are.
Me: Point. Then again, that's why Toronto lost last weekend, because they put in a quarterback with a concussion since the other guy was hurt too.
Other person: ...nice sports analogy, Jessi.
Me: I apologize.

I'm either the worst nerd ever or just very representative of my province, I guess.

Otherwise, it is my mother's birthday, but it is also the day that I go and hang around with publishing people pretending to be one of them while nobody is any the wiser (it's good for career motivation, okay :|). And two weeks til my birthday. And that stupid midterm. Yay.

Finally got to see the full extent of the aftermath of my brother's party.

♦ The house is clean, at least. This is good.
♦ The spare room is not clean. His friends do not know how to pick up after themselves when they sleep over.
♦ My PS3 has been moved to a desk in the office for reasons unknown. The controller is neither there with it nor by the TV where it's supposed to be. I have no idea where it is.
♦ Also on this desk in the office is a picnic blanket that belongs upstairs in the linen closet. Not going to ask.
♦ There are cushions everywhere. I suspect they had a pillow fight.
♦ The blow-up doll is no longer in the yard, thankfully. I don't know where they put it and I don't want to know. Next time I see it, I will give it a tacky outfit and hat.
♦ My brother is at school, so I can't ask him even if I wanted to. (Well, I do want to know where my controller went, but the rest can be left to the abyss of mystery.)

Fun times.

Canada Day is next week! Furthermore, I have it off, and will be lording this fact over all of you who do not. Actually, I'm more likely to just waste a bunch of time in the park playing with inflatable swords, but hey. (Speaking of which, I think I want a flag. Full-sized, too. However, I am not quite sure what I would do with one, so I have held off on this matter.)

Why has the Carlton Cards in the mall been playing nothing but Hilary Duff for a week? I know stores do that with current music, but come on, her? I don't get it. Maybe the manager just trudged through My Immortal.

Former place of employment mentioned in previous entry was on the front page of the paper today. Joy. I haven't gotten around to reading it. Guess they finally caved to the outsourcing requests. I know tons of people will be mad. e-e; Speaking of work, there's nothing really bad going on at new!work, but it is freezing cold. They overuse the AC. Think they'll turn it off if we ask?

Must ship box. Box has been in my room for a month and a half. Please help prevent my further laziness.

I just walked to school today, and got there quicker than I would have had I taken the bus. Going to school in a park has its advantages. I shall have to do this more often.

Cherry suggested that people post a picture a day, so here's my first one. Here's mine for the day. It's a music box I've had since I was a kid.

For the past few months, I have been planning a back-to-school bomb-of-the-non-literal-variety that involved going to the university first thing in the early morning (when no one is around, and yes, I've done things then before) and planting a very large amount of pinwheels on every lawn and flowerbed you could think of.

I woke up much too early in accordance with this. However, I ran across two problems:
1) Not enough pinwheels.
2) It's raining.

So now I've been sitting around doing nothing for the past handful of hours. Well, at least if it were further along into the year, I could use the time for homework or something.

Plan B. I need them.

Edit: I may possibly have a plan B. It will, however, need a handful of other people and a trip to Value Village.

Storms, ick. We've been getting way too many. I'm beginning to hate them.

First of all, I would like to post a public notice that I have the right to say whatever the heck (rubbing it in) I want to. The expletives I wish to use are in my vocabulary for personal reasons, completely unrelated to the fact that none of them are dirty. The expletives I wish not to use are removed from my vocabulary not because I am "childish" or fear being "bad", but simply because it's not in my character to use them. Of course, this will be forgotten by tomorrow, but I had to say it.

Today was fun; however, it appears that my glamourbombing skills are rather lacking, or at least that I have a long way to go in the not-being-seen department. Also, I had no idea that cats ate flowers.

I'm sorry.

So. Starting tonight, in one hour and thirteen minutes, Ontario and Quebec will no longer be exempt from the $3 handling charge.

I'm bracing myself for a wave of complaints tomorrow. Wish me luck.

How many meetings in a row is it that I have no idea where we're meeting and I'm afraid to ask? e-e; And how many chats have I missed ever since I did that one stupid thing and people stopped inviting me? Again, afraid to ask about it. I really need to get over this phobia. Even Kokoro is implementing a system where you ask everybody who's on if they want to chat before you make the room. There's no WAY that I can do that! X_x;;; I can't even outright ask for 1-on-1s, which makes it hard when you're talking to the one person to whom chat quoting and character insertions get no response whatsoever...
