Last night at anime club, we were watching D.Gray-man (yes, still; we're almost at the end, and I'm sure I've mentioned how hard it is to get them to go through a 13- or 26-episode series half the time, so I have no idea how we've been watching this long) and I brought up...

Me: You know what, how injured are these people? They all should have dropped dead, like, fourteen episodes ago. (It had been about that long since they were last in the hospital or had any sort of timeskip.)
Someone else: Well, who else is going to do it? Everyone else there is worse off than they are.
Me: Point. Then again, that's why Toronto lost last weekend, because they put in a quarterback with a concussion since the other guy was hurt too.
Other person: ...nice sports analogy, Jessi.
Me: I apologize.

I'm either the worst nerd ever or just very representative of my province, I guess.

Otherwise, it is my mother's birthday, but it is also the day that I go and hang around with publishing people pretending to be one of them while nobody is any the wiser (it's good for career motivation, okay :|). And two weeks til my birthday. And that stupid midterm. Yay.

My own birthday's in two weeks and a day. Guess what else I get that day? History midterm. Joy. I really love the material, but sometimes I wonder why I took the class. Mostly because of the final paper... History uses Chicago and I hate that style. Sure, it's easy to read, but it's a pain to write and even more so to revise. Footnotes, why do you hate me so?

I would also like to know why my brain hurts all of a sudden.

-New giant bookshelf! Yay for more storage space!

Things I'm pretty sure I got:
-There is a DS game-shaped box among the presents.
-I kind of accidentally looked in my mom's stash of presents (thinking that surely she wouldn't hide them in the same place she did when I was ten) and saw some doll stands. I can do photo albums much easier now!
-Money! I got a ton of cards that I haven't opened yet.

Things I can't tell what I got:
-Whatever my brother gave me. Shaking the bag isn't working.

So I finally got TWEWY after hearing my flist talk about it nonstop. So far, it's amazing. I'm not far yet, so no spoilers, people. I also got a new begonia! It was the last one with yellow flowers. They had like a million pink, two orange, one white and one yellow. Ha.

It seems like thumbs (who, apparently, renamed again) made a bet where we can't use emoticons for a week? I'm in. I'll lose fifteen minutes later, but I'm in.
